How to get there

The main departure point for Fraser Island is from the town of Hervey Bay which is around a 4 hour drive north of Brisbane. Hervey Bay is serviced by coach companies such as Greyhound, by airlines such as Virgin Blue or Jet Star and also by Queensland railways who run a service to Maryborough and then will transfer you to Hervey Bay.
